Yelapa

Yelapa is a fishing village founded approximately 150 years ago by 4 families who came down from the Sierra de Chacala, Jalisco. From the earliest days, their main economic activity was fishing, followed by agriculture. Today its inhabitants live almost entirely from tourism.

It is a unique beach town in the world, since despite not being an island, it feels and lives like one. Yelapa is ideal to rest and forget about stress, since it is surrounded by incredible nature and the only easy and fast way to get there is by boat.

Yelapa has a long beach and a beautiful river that flows right there. On the beach there are excellent restaurants with tables on the sand, umbrellas and lounge chairs. There is also rental of jet skis, kayaks, paddle boards, horses and sale of delicious authentic bread from the town.
