DESCRIPTION
Your Los Arcos, Animas and Quimixto Tour begins at the Puerto Vallarta Maritime Terminal at
9:00 am with coffee and rolls before we board to depart. Breakfast is waiting for you onboard
with scrambled eggs and ham, hot cakes, yogurt, and granola. At 10:00, we’ll let the dock lines
go and head down the coast to Los Muertos Beach to pick up the rest of the group. We’ll be
underway again by 10:30 for our first stop of the day to snorkel at Los Arcos National Marine
Park. Enroute your snorkeling gear will be handed out along with demonstrations, so you are
ready for the water and know what to do to have the most fun when you arrive.
Before we even arrive at the Marine Park, you’ll see the famous arch that passes all the way
through one of the islands and gives the park its name. This beautiful group of islets is a famous,
much photographed landmark on the Bay. Snorkeling here opens your eyes to life below the
surface with a wide variety of fish, turtles, moray eels, endemic plants, and various migrating
species, returning annually during the winter, including our amazing manta rays. Perhaps you
will see the North Pacific humpback whales who bring their new babies to our Bay (November
to March).
Back on board and up with the anchor, we are on our way to Las Animas beach nestled against
the jungle hillsides. It’s a perfect spot for kayaking, or to enjoy the sun and the crystalline
Mexican Pacific waters. We’ll have lunch at our exclusive beach club from 2:00 – 4:00pm
(drinks not included). And finally we head out again along the Southern coast for Quimixto to
hike and explore up the river. Just ahead…the rush of water tumbling down from high above.
Join your new friends to cool off below the waterfall before we head back to town with smiles,
photos, and beautiful memories. What a day!
